Kitapta her sayının arkasında bir kaynak vardır. Saymadan önce kaynağına bakılır, kaynağı bulunamayan sayı yazılmaz. Boşluk bazen görülür. Boşluğu seçtim, çünkü doldurulmuş bir sayı yanlış bir sayı olmak için fazlasıyla yeterli.
Yazarın kendi deneyimi bu listede yoktur. Deneyim kaynak değildir. Kitapta gördüğüm ile başkasının bulduğu ayrı ayrı işaretlenmiştir.
Her kaynak için yayın bilgisi, PMID ve tıklayabilir bir DOI bağlantısı verilmiştir. Güç değerleri şunu anlatır:
- Güçlü — sistematik derleme, meta-analiz, geniş örneklemli çalışma
- Orta-güçlü — derleme ya da örneklemi iyi seçilmiş çalışma
- Orta — tek merkezli veya sınırlı örneklemli çalışma
- Nitel — tanım, kavram, sınıflandırma
- Zayıf — küçük örneklem, nitel çalışma, vaka serisi
